Specialised Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist - Band 6

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our MSK outpatient physiotherapist specialist rotation service at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist to develop their skills in a variety of settings, including hydrotherapy, hand therapy, and rheumatology. You will have the chance to broaden your clinical skills within specific UL, LL, Spinal, and Rheumatology pathways.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop assessment and treatment skills in hydrotherapy, hand therapy, and rheumatology
  • Broaden your clinical skills within specific UL, LL, Spinal, and Rheumatology pathways
  • Supervise rotational physiotherapists, technical instructors, physiotherapy assistants, and students
  • Deliver 'Clinical Reasoning Training' sessions to those you supervise
  • Participate in wider In-Service Training programmes
About the Role

This role is central to the clinical development of others and requires a strong clinical leader who can support the delivery of the best MSK care for our patient community.

You will be expected to engage in a supported supervision programme, incorporating reflective practice, clinical reasoning, and skills development, as well as independent CPD.

Person Specification

We are looking for a physiotherapist with:

  • A degree or diploma in physiotherapy
  • Current registration with HCPC
  • Post-graduate qualification or proven equivalent experience/training in a relevant field

Desirable qualifications include a relevant validated clinical course.

We are looking for a physiotherapist with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience, with a minimum of 6 months musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy experience.

Experience of training/supervision of rotational, technical, assistant, and staff and students is essential.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a good knowledge of physiotherapy in relevant areas are also essential.
