Compass is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Practitioner to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Derby and Derbyshire. As a Supervising Practitioner, you will play a key role in shaping the expanding service with children, young people, families, and educational settings.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to help develop Compass Wave 12 MHSTs, focusing on building partnerships with education settings and driving highly effective and CYPF-focused mental health and wellbeing services in line with the national MHST operating framework.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and innovate with practitioners and colleagues in the service.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and the community.
- Work alongside colleagues to develop Compass Wave 12 MHSTs, focusing on building partnerships with education settings.
- Drive highly effective and CYPF-focused mental health and wellbeing services in line with the national MHST operating framework.
We are looking for a values-driven individual with a passion for supporting children, young people, and families' mental health and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have:
- A core professional and/or clinical qualification (EMHP, CWP, PMHW, nursing with specialism in mental health or learning disability nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work).
- A Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision (EMHP supervisor course) or Two years post-qualification experience of working therapeutically with children and young people and a willingness to undertake a PG Certificate in Supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to form positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
