Student Recruitment Support Officer - Leeds

At GBS Global Applied Knowledge, we are committed to providing life-changing learning to a wider range of communities. Our mission is to support the development of our Student Referral programme, assisting events and offering support, encouragement, and advice to existing and prospective students.

The purpose of this role is to assist applicants for student finance applications, engage with the Finance team, and deliver presentations and organise student events. This involves administrative tasks, student recruitment, and supporting the wider marketing, communications, and student recruitment team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Student Recruitment team with administrative tasks.
  • Help students apply for their student referral award and liaise with the Finance team.
  • Follow up on new student referrals, driving sales conversion by guiding students through the application and student finance process.
  • Support the wider marketing, communications, and student recruitment team, identifying opportunities for performance improvements.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in the role as a representative of GBS, incorporating our core values in the delivery of duties.
  • Observe equality and diversity practices and procedures, and promote equality of opportunity at all times.
  • Observe and adhere to all GBS policies relevant to the role.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a minimum Sixth form or equivalent.
  • Experience in higher education sales and student finance administration.
  • Highly motivated, with a self-starter attitude and bags of initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Delivery and deadline-focused.
  • Commercial, always looking to optimise value.
  • A commitment to equality and diversity.

Other Information:

  • Occasional work may be required at evenings or weekends, for example during operational peaks.
  • Undertake staff development appropriate to the post, as may be identified and required from time to time, and in accordance with GBS's Staff Development Programme.
  • Observe and implement health and safety responsibilities as specified within GBS's Health and Safety Policy.
