Howells Solutions Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Operations Manager to join our dynamic planned works division.

In light of recent contract acquisitions and a robust project pipeline, we are in search of a qualified and experienced commercial leader with extensive expertise in managing planned maintenance projects, including kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, passive fire safety measures, decarbonisation initiatives, electrical repairs, legal compliance, and property voids.


The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, fostering a talented and motivated commercial team while establishing excellent relationships with various business functions, clients, consultants, and suppliers.

We require a proven history of successfully delivering planned maintenance projects, achieving desired profit margins, and driving strategic growth.


Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Commercial Operations Manager will oversee all commercial activities related to a portfolio of planned maintenance contracts valued at approximately £20 million, leading the commercial team.

You will be responsible for preparing and presenting regular reports on financial performance and work in progress, collaborating closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that projects are executed on schedule and within budget.


Essential Skills:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Prior experience with a social housing contractor
- Knowledge of contract law
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with NHF Schedule of Rates
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines
- Ability to negotiate and influence
- Self-motivated and adaptable
- Resilient and flexible
