Job Title: M&E Design Director

Oliver Sanderson Group PLC is seeking a highly experienced M&E Design Director to lead their infrastructure division. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for building and managing a multi-disciplinary design team focused on decarbonisation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical function within the division, ensuring quality control and compliance in all design-related activities.
  • Develop and implement Building Information Modelling and digital information management strategies to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Set design objectives aligned with the company's goals, monitoring and managing risks associated with design and engineering through a dedicated committee.
  • Promote strong communication and inclusion within the design team and across the division, supporting innovation and digital transformation.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in all design and engineering activities, managing budgets related to design and engineering functions.
  • Manage and influence key stakeholders, leveraging exceptional project and change management skills to drive business growth.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader with extensive experience at a senior level managing multi-disciplinary design and engineering teams. You will have a track record within M&E, exceptional project and change management skills, a thorough knowledge of business assurance and risk management systems, and proven experience in implementing new systems and ways of working.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in design, M&E Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Industry experience in construction, M&E, engineering, or contractor firms.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen, with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of digital information management and BIM strategies.
