Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Waste Management Specialist to join our team at Assystem. The successful candidate will provide authoritative waste management and characterisation advice to Assystem and our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review waste and characterisation documentation in support of decommissioning projects.
  • Provide key waste and characterisation input to bids and articulate durations and costs for planned work.
  • Lead Best Available Technique and Optioneering studies, and be a primary contact between Assystem and our customers.
  • Ensure that through the implementation of BAT and effective management of resources, that value to the business is ensured.
Requirements
  • Degree in a scientific or engineering-based subject or experience working in waste or characterisation engineering.
  • Certificate of competence to act as a Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA).
  • Transport of Class 7 by Road Level 2 or Level 3.

Chartered status and in-depth knowledge of disposal and treatment routes for wastes in the UK and overseas are highly desirable.
