Adult Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Adult Support Worker to join our team at a thriving educational centre near Guildford. As an Adult Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic learners aged 18 and above, helping them to cultivate knowledge and skills that enhance their well-being, autonomy, and social integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with individuals and small groups to deliver comprehensive support, care, and instruction to autistic adult learners.
  • Implement behaviour-driven teaching methodologies and interventions to foster positive outcomes and growth.
  • Facilitate the application of learned skills in real-world contexts, both within our Centre for Lifelong Learning and out in the community.
Requirements:
  • A valid driving license or access to transportation.
  • Professional, personal, or voluntary experience working with adults or young people with disabilities.
  • Comfort in working with adults exhibiting challenging behaviours.
  • Capability to assist with personal/intimate care when needed.
