Dorie School is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Rural Education Specialist to support our classroom teachers with project work and professional development in a rural school setting.

Job Overview

This part-time position is approximately 20% of a full-time equivalent, commencing in January 2025, and concluding in January 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting permanent teachers to undertake in-school projects and professional development.

Main Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Support: Provide subject expertise and support to Years 1-8 students in various subjects, including English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, and The Arts.
  • In-School Projects: Collaborate with permanent teachers to design and implement in-school projects and professional learning opportunities.
Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess a valid teaching certification and demonstrate a strong passion for education and collaboration.

Annual Salary Range
