We are seeking a talented and ambitious Trainee Patent Attorney to join our dynamic Intellectual Property team at Lewis Silkin. As a Trainee Patent Attorney, you will play a key role in advising clients on the filing, prosecution, and litigation of intellectual property rights across various technologies and sectors.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading intellectual property practice that offers a unique IP360 service. You will be part of a hard-working and supportive team, working on high-profile cases and collaborating with IP litigators and commercial lawyers.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting, filing, and prosecution of software/electrical patents for UK or EPO
  • Working with clients to understand their intellectual property needs and providing strategic advice
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective solutions for clients
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in intellectual property law and technology
Requirements

We are looking for a strong team player with a technical background in electrical engineering, software, or telecommunications. You should have a degree in physics, computer science, engineering, or a related field and be commercially focused with excellent analytical skills.

You will also need to have a Part-Qualified UK and/or European Patent Attorney qualification and excellent academic background in a computing or electrical technical discipline.
