Culinary Professional

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef to join our team at Caterpillar, North West Industrial Estate, Peterlee. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting food orders, ensuring the safety of customers and colleagues, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

• Supporting with food orders and ensuring timely delivery
• Ensuring the safety of customers and colleagues by adhering to health and safety protocols
• Checking all food for allergens and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Running and supervising kitchen sections to meet the required standards set by the Head Chef
• Preparing, cooking, and serving a range of meals to high standards
• Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence and maintaining accurate records
• Assisting with deliveries, stock checks, and ordering supplies
• Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries
• Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans

• Relevant culinary qualification desirable
• Experience working in a kitchen at a chef level
• Allergen awareness and training will be provided
• Excellent team player and communicator
• DBS required

• Competitive hourly rate of £13
• Full-time role with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am to 2pm
