Job Title: Biomedical Equipment Technician

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years' experience in medical equipment maintenance.
  • Training, certifications, experience, and qualifications are preferred for each technician.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Education/Certification:

  • Associates degree or higher, or equivalent, is necessary.

Duties:

  • Medical equipment used in healthcare settings is repaired, calibrated, and maintained with minimal supervision.
  • Maintenance, testing, repair, and operation duties are performed.
  • Scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance procedures are conducted.
  • Equipment inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair ensure proper function.
  • Work orders are prepared to accompany equipment for repair.
  • Medical equipment is set up and installed throughout the organization.
  • Records of maintenance, repair, and updates are kept.
