Spanish Instructor

Job Summary:

Brightpoint Community College seeks a qualified part-time Spanish instructor to teach online or traditional courses on the Chester or Midlothian campus. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in Spanish or a related field and experience teaching at the postsecondary level.

Responsibilities:

• Teach online or traditional courses in Spanish, including Beginning Spanish I & II, Intermediate Spanish I & II, and Spanish for Health Professionals I & II.
• Use instructional technologies to deliver high-quality instruction.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Spanish or a related field with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in Spanish.
• Experience teaching at the postsecondary level.
• Ability to use instructional technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Working Conditions:

The Division of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Brightpoint Community College augments full-time teaching faculty with qualified part-time instructors to enhance the student learning process. Adjunct Faculty teaching is limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours in the summer semester, 12 credit hours in the fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the spring semester.
