We require an experienced SHEQ Manager to join our team in Widnes, Cheshire. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing site meets the highest standards of health and safety and quality.

Your main duties will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Developing and implementing effective SHE policies and procedures.
  • Leading the site's safety participation program and fostering a culture of safety awareness among all staff members.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and PHAs, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Coordinating and managing contractor and staff inductions, ensuring that all personnel are aware of site-specific safety procedures.
  • Contributing to quality and productivity improvements through the development of new procedures and processes.
  • Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, and formulating corrective and preventative measures.
  • Collaborating with regulatory bodies, clients, and contractors on safety, health, environmental, and quality matters.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar Health & Safety Manager/Specialist role, preferably in a manufacturing background. A NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent is essential for this position. A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
