Role Overview

Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher to support students with special educational needs in a Specialist School within the Waltham Forest area. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tailored educational programs for each student based on their unique needs and abilities.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Implement effective strategies to address students' diverse requirements, including Autism, ADHD, PMLD, Global Learning Delay, SEMH, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and sensory impairments.
  • Collaborate closely with other staff members and parents to ensure comprehensive support for students' progress and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to relevant parties.

Requirements

  • Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs.
  • Show a strong understanding of evidence-based strategies and interventions for addressing various learning difficulties.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Acknowledge the importance of patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting student well-being.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience, in line with current market rates for similar positions in London.
