About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Attendance and Welfare Officer to join our team in Trafford. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Assistant Head Teacher of Behaviour and Attendance to promote positive attitudes towards regular school attendance.

The role involves delivering group work and 1:1 sessions with young people, supporting students in alternative provision, and developing strategies to improve student attendance and punctuality. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who can engage and inspire young people to learn.

A key responsibility of the role is to support students in achieving their academic potential, while also providing pastoral care and guidance. The successful candidate will be well-versed in tackling difficult conversations and have excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To develop and deliver group work and 1:1 sessions with young people
  2. To support students in alternative provision
  3. To develop strategies to improve student attendance and punctuality
  4. To provide pastoral care and guidance to students
  5. To communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents
  6. To maintain accurate records and reports

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £27,711 - £30,060 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, a pension scheme, and a generous holiday allowance.
