We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Career Cross Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management and running of our accounting operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and maintain our Sage 50 accounting system, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee the purchase ledger, coding, and posting of invoices, supplier payments, and reconciliations.
- Lead the credit control function, including pricing jobs, raising sales invoices, and emailing them to customers, as well as sending out statements and handling related queries.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations, including coding and posting receipts to nominals.
- Process expenses, CIS payments, and year-end accounts preparation, including supplying accountants with relevant information and posting year-end journals.
- Record depreciation and prepayments, as well as P11D information.
- Produce monthly reports, including detailed sales analysis, customer sales analysis, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Maintain monthly cashflow forecasts and oversee the Sage Payroll function, including monthly payroll and pension processing, as well as filing EPS/FPS to HMRC.
- Manage utilities, including gas and electricity accounts, setting up new accounts, and renewing contracts.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, with a strong background in financial management.
- Excellent knowledge of Sage 50 accounting and strong working knowledge of Office 365, with advanced Excel skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive attitude to any task at hand.
