Engineering Technician Apprentice Level 3 - Services – a career-defining opportunity

The role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Engineering Technician Apprentice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our innovative products, which are revolutionizing the world of vacuum.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing an understanding of workshop equipment and learning how to service our pumps by carrying out checks and maintenance
  • Learning how to repair and replace faulty parts, applying safe systems of working including electrical safety testing
  • Applying proven techniques and procedures to solve engineering/manufacturing problems

Training and Qualification

You will receive continuous training and development, collaborating with our training provider, East Surrey College. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will obtain a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Engineering.

Career Progression

Upon successful completion of this scheme, you could be offered a Service Engineer role with our inhouse team, with the potential to move out into the field or within the wider Atlas Copco Group. You could also be offered further training to expand your learning.

Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics, English and a Science
  • A passion for engineering - experience shown from personal interests or school projects is a plus
  • A strong interest in learning and growing as a service engineer
  • An interest in engineering or construction and enjoys learning how things work
  • Good timekeeping and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to understand and follow instructions
  • Takes pride in their work and has a keen eye for detail
  • Adaptable
  • Can-do attitude
  • Works collaboratively with others
