Job Overview

Dalkia is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of the Energy team, you will be responsible for leading and driving project teams, ensuring compliance with agreed procedures and standards.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in control systems within the energy market, field cabling systems, and control panel design incorporating PLCs, I/O, Comms cards, UPS's etc.

You will be educated to at least degree level in a relevant subject or HND with additional experience of at least 5 years post-graduate experience or 6 years post-HND experience on successful project implementation in the above areas of expertise.

A strong understanding of Full Project Lifecycle, ability to work well under pressure, motivate others, excellent communication skills, and flexibility in working methods are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive project teams
  • Review and approve designs developed by the team
  • Evaluate customer supplied data, specifications, and drawings
  • Create/modify Design Packs including system drawings, general arrangements, schematics & wiring diagrams
  • Produce client design documentation and test documentation
  • Support site acceptance testing/commissioning
  • Support the production of tender documents and cost estimates

Requirements

  • Experience of/competent in control systems within the energy market (or similar utility)
  • Experience of/competent in field cabling systems (P, Inst, Contr, and comms) including surveying and identifying routes, cable calculations for sizing and earthing/protection
  • Experience of/competent in control panel design incorporating PLC, I/O, Comms cards, UPS's etc
  • Strong understanding of Full Project Lifecycle
  • Hold a current full driving license (UK or be able to easily convert to full UK)
  • Be willing to undergo a basic disclosure Scotland check
