We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveying Assistant to join our commercial team on a high-profile utilities project in Hertfordshire.

About the role:
The successful candidate will assist the commercial team on a major utilities project, focusing on cost management, procurement, and contractual management, while working closely with the project and site teams to ensure smooth financial operation throughout the project's life cycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assistance with valuations and financial reports.
  • Support in managing subcontractor accounts, including variations and final accounts.
  • Help with forecasting and budgeting throughout the project duration.
  • Providing assistance in pricing and negotiating contract changes.
  • Attending site meetings and liaising with various teams to maintain project progression.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience in utilities is preferable but not required.
  • Strong numerical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Estimated salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum.
