Procurement and Supply Chain Director

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Manufacturing Engineering & Supply Chain activities in Scotland and Denmark for a leading client. As the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain, you will be responsible for planning and executing the overall supply chain process, working closely with suppliers, and owning product management.
You will be an integral part of the manufacturing function, working alongside purchasing and quality teams, and reporting at a C-Suit level. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the supplier market and creating a comprehensive supplier database, considering strategic, export, financial, quality, and programmatic boundary conditions.
- Establishing a process for new suppliers to be included in the database.
- Tracking and reporting key functional metrics on procurement activities, purchase requests, and order processing.
- Monitoring and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and enhance overall procurement effectiveness.
- Anticipating unfavourable events through data analysis and preparing control strategies.
- Managing risks associated with supply contracts and agreements.
- Controlling expenses and fostering a culture of long-term cost savings in procurement.
- Monitoring supplier performance using key metrics and developing and leading a supplier performance improvement program.
- Monitoring supplier purchase requisition delivery dates and their evolutions as part of daily work.
We are looking for a highly experienced Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer, or Head of Procurement with a strong background in sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as the ability to assess market conditions. Proficiency in the use of supplier or third-party management software is essential. Experience in data-led decision-making and working with numbers is also required. Recognised qualifications in Aerospace, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Logistics would be advantageous.
