Job Description

We are seeking a Clerk of Works to join our team in Stevenage. As a Clerk of Works, you will play a crucial role in supporting all sites, acting as a Permit to Work advisor on Health and Safety, Fire Safety, and Environmental matters. You will liaise closely with the Permit to Work office, Project, and Engineering teams, conducting desk and field permit reviews where necessary. Your responsibilities will also include forging professional relationships with the client EHS Team and Permit to Work office, preparing Planned General Inspection spreadsheets, and advising on Continuous Improvement Plans.

You will be expected to support H&S training delivered on site, ensure quality and relevant training modules, and take prompt action to correct any shortfalls reported by the client or from company quality audits. You will encourage a continuous improvement culture to prevent stagnation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need experience working in the Facilities Management sector, preferably with knowledge of Hard FM (M+E) and SC Clearance (desired). A DBS at minimum and a UK Passport are also essential.
