Job Title: Construction Project Manager

The role of a Construction Project Manager at Nexus Careers Group Ltd involves ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring projects, conducting site inspections, and identifying potential issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and producing detailed reports on work progress and quality.
  • Identifying potential issues and defects and liaising with contractors to resolve them promptly.
  • Verifying that work is being carried out in line with design drawings and project specifications.
  • Attending site meetings to review project timelines, quality, and safety.
  • Keeping detailed records of inspections, site activities, and any variations to the contract.
  • Acting as a key point of contact between the client and the contractors, ensuring effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Clerk of Works role or similar within the construction or engineering sectors.
  • Excellent understanding of construction processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety, and industry best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors and project teams.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction or civil engineering (HNC, HND, or equivalent).
