Academics Teaching Assistant Role:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Academics Teaching Assistant to join our team at a leading SEN school in Bristol. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting students with autism and challenging behavior, and will be committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Main Job Duties:

  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans for students with autism and challenging behavior.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, adapting resources and strategies as needed to promote their learning and development.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school by participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in SEN settings, preferably with students with autism and challenging behavior.
  • Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and behavior management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Compensation Package:

  • A highly competitive salary of £18,900 - £20,092 per annum, based on experience.
