Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, and other special needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and the senior leadership team to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Understand and adapt to the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social factors that impact a pupil's learning.
  • Utilize ICT for interactive learning and efficient administrative tasks.
  • Inspire and support students to exceed expectations while boosting their self-esteem and confidence.
  • Assist in marking students' work, tracking their progress, and celebrating their achievements.
  • Help students appreciate and value their learning experiences.
  • Stay current on all school policies, including safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety.
  • Maintain the highest standards in everything you do, adhering to the SEN Code of Practice.

Requirements:
  • Experience in working with students with autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, and other special needs.
  • Ability to track progression in attainment and adapt to individual learning styles.
  • Background in youth work, behavior management, and building relationships.
  • Manual handling, marking, and mentor experience are highly desirable.
