Senior Highway Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of our highway projects, working closely with our clients and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation and risk management.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including project progress, budgets, and quality control.
- Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Proven experience in a senior engineering role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications, including a degree in civil engineering or a related field.
