About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employment Adviser to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment support and be able to work effectively with individuals with mental health conditions to help them achieve their employment goals.

As a Senior Employment Adviser, you will be responsible for providing vocational support to clients, including job retention and employment advice. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive comprehensive support to achieve their employment aspirations.

The successful candidate will have a degree-level qualification or equivalent, with significant experience of providing vocational/employment support. You will also have a strong understanding of the employment needs, barriers, and difficulties faced by people with mental health conditions.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting people with mental health conditions to achieve their employment goals. If you are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide vocational support to clients, including job retention and employment advice.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive comprehensive support to achieve their employment aspirations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local employers, trade unions, and other organisations to promote employment opportunities.
  • Collate and report on performance data to inform service development and improvement.
Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Significant experience of providing vocational/employment support.
  • A strong understanding of the employment needs, barriers, and difficulties faced by people with mental health conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
