About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Visitor to join our team at SSAFA. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme to families with children aged 0-5 years, developing and implementing health plans in response to identified needs, and participating in health promotion and public health campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme to families with children aged 0-5 years
  • Develop and implement health plans in response to identified needs
  • Participate in health promotion and public health campaigns
  • Assist with the delivery of childhood immunisations
  • Work collaboratively with the Community Health Team, Primary Care, Social Care, Education, and welfare agencies
  • Be involved with Early Help Assessments and attend multi-agency meetings

About the Team

You will be a member of the SSAFA Community Health Team, working alongside Midwives, School Nurses, Community Children's Nurses, Speech and Language Therapists, CAMHS, Dietitian, Consultant Community Paediatrician, and Community Paediatric Psychiatrist. As a Health Visitor, you will be required to work in various locations, including Episkopi and Dhekelia.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must be a Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) with experience of work within a military environment. You will need to be able to manage and prioritise a caseload effectively, have good time management skills, excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, and be committed to personal and professional development. You will also have a good working knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children.
