Job Title: Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Job Overview:

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with mental health difficulties, ensuring they receive the best possible care and treatment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people to identify their mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including occupational therapy, to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, educators, and families, to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide training and education to colleagues and other stakeholders on mental health and occupational therapy best practices.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualification in occupational therapy, such as a Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
  • Knowledge of current mental health policies, procedures, and legislation.
