Buoy Yard Electrical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at the Harwich Depot. As a key member of the Buoy Yard Team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and construction of buoyage systems, including building, inspecting, testing, and commissioning complex buoy designs, telemetry systems, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the depot and wider estate
  • Installation and testing of new electrical systems and equipment
  • Inspection and certification of electrical systems and equipment
  • Writing technical reports and maintaining accurate records

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • 18th edition wiring regulations
  • Highly developed IT skills and experience of working with remote monitoring and control systems desirable
