**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Welfare Manager to join our team at BSC Education Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safeguarding and welfare of all students at our summer schools.

The **annual salary** is estimated to be around £28,400, based on a 52-week contract. The role involves managing a team of Activity Welfare Leaders, ensuring student safety and well-being, and maintaining high standards of behaviour.

Key responsibilities include:

  • House Duties & Pastoral Care: Ensure student welfare throughout the summer, support centre manager with inductions, maintain accurate student records, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Centre: Manage student houses, assist with arrivals and departures, ensure fire drills are conducted effectively, and respond to requests from Head Office.
  • Welfare Team Management: Induct AWLs, lead and support them throughout the duration, update student house files, and facilitate communication among team members.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Collaborate with Activities Manager to create rota, motivate AWLs to participate in activities, and encourage students to participate fully in the activity programme.
  • Liaise with IGLs informally and during scheduled meetings to promote student welfare.
  • Lead Welfare Team meetings, ensure minutes are taken, and observe AWLs to provide constructive feedback.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience working with children/teenagers, excellent communication and organisational skills, and ability to work well in a team.
  • Flexibility in working hours, willingness to work hard, and right to work in the UK/EU.
