We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced special needs primary teacher to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Wandsworth. As a special needs primary teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Salary: £38,000 - £50,000 per annum

About the school: Our school provides a range of unique enabling environments, both indoor and outdoor, which are used to maximise learning opportunities and meet pupils' specific needs. The successful candidate will benefit from being part of a supportive and small school community.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere
  • Monitor and assess student progress
  • Engage with parents and caregivers
  • Work with and lead a support team within the classroom

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of working with students in an SEMH environment
  • Experience working in a primary education setting is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
