Tutor for Children with Additional Needs

We are seeking a dedicated tutor to work one-to-one with children and young adults who have SEMH, ASD, ADHD, Aspergers, MLD, and challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to these students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
The role will involve working in a variety of settings, including schools, care homes, and libraries, and will require the ability to adapt to different environments and situations. The tutor will be responsible for completing weekly feedback forms on the students' progress, achievements, behaviour, and self-esteem/confidence.

The ideal candidate will have QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, or equivalent, and will have experience working with children and young adults with additional needs. They will also have up-to-date safeguarding training and be able to provide two professional child-related references.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to children and young adults with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, Aspergers, MLD, and challenging behaviours
- Work in a variety of settings, including schools, care homes, and libraries
- Complete weekly feedback forms on students' progress, achievements, behaviour, and self-esteem/confidence
- Have QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, or equivalent
- Have experience working with children and young adults with additional needs
- Have up-to-date safeguarding training
- Be able to provide two professional child-related references

Location: Oldham, Rochdale, and Manchester
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm (usually 2 hours per session)
Rate of pay: Minimum rate GBP25 per hour
