Executive Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life. This key leadership position will oversee the development and implementation of programs and services that support the growth and success of fraternity and sorority life at the university.
Key Responsibilities- Provide vision and strategic direction for fraternity and sorority life at the university.
- Develop and implement programs and services that promote student engagement, leadership development, and community building.
- Supervise and evaluate the work of staff members and graduate assistants.
- Collaborate with university administrators, faculty, and staff to advance the goals of fraternity and sorority life.
- Develop and manage budgets and resources to support fraternity and sorority life programs and services.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, as well as national and international standards for fraternity and sorority life.
- Master's degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field required.
- Considerable knowledge and understanding of fraternity and sorority life, including its history, philosophy, and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Full-time experience advising students, planning and executing events, and leading and supervising the work of others.
- Considerable experience in program initiation, development, and assessment, as well as direct experience with recruitment processes for one or more Greek councils on a residential college campus.
- Considerable direct experience advising fraternities, sororities, or councils.
- Experience working in a higher education setting, with a focus on student affairs and fraternity and sorority life.
- Knowledge of national and international standards for fraternity and sorority life, as well as best practices in program development and assessment.
