Dialysis Unit Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support to our Day Case Unit ward team within the Heart Centre. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for welcoming patients, relatives, and staff, and providing information on admission, discharge, visiting times, and other related matters.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a busy environment, and possess a flexible and enthusiastic approach to the job role. They will also be able to prioritize tasks, manage their workload, and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Main Duties
- Liaise with other departments and hospitals to obtain reports and investigations in preparation for patient surgery.
- Scan patient medical paperwork through the trust's SCANIT system, ensuring compliance with trust guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of rehab referrals and send them to local hospitals for follow-up.
- Create records for new inter-hospital transfers and upload patient test results and investigations.
- Act as a first point of contact for patients, relatives, and staff, providing information and resolving queries.
- Answer telephone enquiries and exercise judgment to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ensure daily that ward emergency computers are working and an audit trail is kept.
- Make necessary arrangements for general ward maintenance and equipment repair.
