We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and education of children with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
- Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff to enhance the learning experience.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom organization.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification (Drama, Dance, Psychology, English, Sports science or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a school setting or at after school clubs or youth clubs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
