About this Job

We are seeking an experienced Trust and Safety Professional to join our team at Trustpilot, Inc. As a key member of the Trust & Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the trustworthiness of our platform.

You will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing new laws and regulations, identifying areas for improvement, and delivering actionable items for stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in regulatory affairs and make a meaningful contribution to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, review, and analyze new laws and regulations related to online safety, digital content, and consumer protection.
  • Identify areas for improvement to ensure our products and services meet all legal requirements.
  • Form well-reasoned recommendations for action based on detailed analysis of ambiguous legal issues.
  • Deliver actionable items for stakeholders, translated from complex legal and regulatory language.
  • Support the Public Affairs team on advocacy initiatives, including consultation responses and policy positions.
Requirements
  • A practicing lawyer in Scotland, England & Wales, or Denmark, with 3-6 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused products.
  • Comprehensive legal technical skills, including knowledge of European, UK, and US regulatory frameworks.
  • An enthusiasm for regulatory issues and helping internal stakeholders understand them.

  • A competitive salary (£70,000 - £100,000 per annum) and bonus.
