About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and creative Occupational Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with young people with an ASC diagnosis and associated needs, such as SEMH, to help them flourish in a safe and supportive learning environment.

Our school combines an evidence-informed education framework with a nurturing and cooperative atmosphere to best support autistic pupils develop their creativity, confidence, and passion for learning. Each team member shares the goal of helping their pupils build their self-esteem, succeed in their social, emotional and educational skill development, and discover new aspirations to take with them into the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapies for children and young people with SEN and co-occurring SEMH, to include sensory processing and integration
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to foster a safe yet incredibly fun atmosphere for pupils to build lasting positive relationships and achieve great success in their academics, wellbeing, and independent living
  • Take advantage of further learning and clinical development opportunities, including clinical supervision and peer support, as part of a well-rounded CPD pathway
Person Specification
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • At least 2 years' professional experience within a school setting
  • Experience in delivering therapies for children and young people with SEN and co-occurring SEMH, to include sensory processing and integration
