Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Nightshift Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Glasgow Airport. As a key member of our operations management, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of housekeeping are achieved.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To support the operations/deputy operations managers and senior supervisors in the day-to-day operational management of the contract.
  • Liaise daily with the site management team and serving airport duty manager to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping by being flexible, able to meet changing operational needs, and suggesting new initiatives to ensure best practice is delivered in accordance with cleaning specification and BICs standards.
  • Incorporate yourself into the daily operational deployment and work dayshift rotations as per site roster requirements to guarantee all team members carry out their cleaning duties correctly and timely.
  • Carry out cleaning assignment responsibilities as designed by management/periodic task matrix including deep cleaning tasks, prioritizing efficiency and quality.
  • Promote excellent communication and motivation among site-based team members through daily debriefs, ensuring an effective communication network exists to achieve team goals.
  • Ensure correct usage of cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH regulations and maintain proper storage and monitoring of materials while ordering consumables and materials according to minimum stock levels.
  • Prepare informative handovers for incoming Senior Supervisors, including any important information discussed during ADM, tasks incomplete from previous shifts, areas of focus, staffing issues, equipment updates, and more.
Requirements:
  • Able to work independently with good attention to detail, reliable, responsible, and flexible, utilizing your own initiative when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to quality, with the ability to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment.
  • Able to work without constant supervision, following management instructions effectively.
Essential Skills:
  • Provide 5-year checkable referencing history, demonstrating reliability and accountability.
  • A full clean driving license would be advantageous, enhancing your cleaning experience.
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred, with expertise in using buffer/scrubber drier equipment.
