Job Overview:

A great opportunity has arisen for a Paramedic to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a Functional Assessor, you will use your clinical knowledge and skills to assess individuals who have been referred to us by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to determine their eligibility for certain benefits.

About the Role:

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. You will be based in one of our offices located in various parts of the UK, including Chester, Wigan, Crewe, Bootle, Warrington, Sunderland, Bedford, Scarborough. You will work on a variety of cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments using your clinical expertise to understand how an individual's disability or health condition affects their daily life
  • Produce detailed reports to help the DWP make informed decisions about benefit entitlement
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our customers

Requirements:

  • Valid HCPC registration number
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience gained within or outside of an NHS ambulance trust
  • You must have the right to work in the UK - we cannot offer sponsorships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
