Laboratory Analyst

Job Summary:
The Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for performing laboratory analysis and ensuring compliance with working practices and procedures. This role is ideal for entry-level graduates or those with lower educational qualifications and prior laboratory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory analysis and ensure compliance with working practices and procedures.
- Be aware of safety implications and regulatory requirements.
- Cooperate with the audit team to ensure effective and efficient audit process.
- Comply with all procedures of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Organize work and ensure all objectives and deadlines are met.
- Complete documentation as directed by procedure and in compliance with Good Document Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Identify and assess faults/process failure and report complex faults and appropriate remedial action.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities:
- Safety:
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
- Documentation:
- Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Report deviations from Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) promptly.
- Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness.
- Record data contemporaneously in compliance with Data Integrity.
- Quality Assurance:
- Provide information in a timely manner.
- Maintain the laboratory area in an audit-ready condition.
- Comply with SOPs.
- Raise discrepancies.
- Laboratory Analysis:
- Follow instructions precisely and report outcomes.
- Meet agreed deadlines.
- Identify and report when objectives are not feasible.
- Report failures and remedial action.
- Perform routine laboratory analysis in accordance with current British Pharmacopoeia (BP), European Pharmacopoeia (EP), and United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) methods.
- Perform non-standard laboratory analysis as required.
- Provide input to investigations of Out-of-Trend (OOT) or Out-of-Specification (OOS) results.
- Report analysis results.
- Check analysis results as required.
- Perform basic maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory instrument log books.
- Write and review SOPs as required.
- Perform daily and weekly housekeeping activities.
Requirements:
This role is suitable for entry-level graduates or those with lower educational qualifications and prior laboratory experience of at least 2 years.
