Job Overview

Liberty is an innovative heating and compliance firm seeking a skilled Gas Breakdown Engineer to join our team in Wigan. This full-time, permanent position comes with a competitive salary of £31,512 plus on-target earnings of over £45K, company van, fuel card, and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing, repairing, and maintaining domestic heating systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Completing works as specified and adhering to gas safe guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
  • Participating in out-of-hours works, including overtime and call-outs as required.
  • Working within operational procedures, safe working practices, and health and safety protocols.
  • Reporting incidents, near misses, or potential hazards promptly.
Requirements
  • A recognized formal training qualification, such as NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, attesting to relevant craft skills.
  • ACS qualifications CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT are highly valued.
  • LPG and UNVENTED certifications are desirable.
  • Familiarity with gas legislation and understanding of Health and Safety best practices.
  • Full driving license and ability to manage own time and workload effectively.
  • Experience interacting with the public, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
