Job Opportunity: Matron - Cardiac, General Surgery and Renal Service

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Adult Nurse to lead our Cardiac team, General Surgery and Renal service. As a Matron, you will be responsible for adopting a highly visible and accessible approach for patients, their carers/relatives and staff.

About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a senior nurse leader to join our enthusiastic team within the Cardiac and 2 surgical wards as well as small Dialysis unit.
  • You will lead by example and empower staff in their personal and professional development.

The post holder will work closely with their nursing teams, Cardiologists, Radiographers to ensure that we deliver an excellent experience for our patients, who are coming in as elective or emergency presentations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • A visible nurse leader and role model for a number of clinical areas with the responsibility and accountability for professional standards.
  • Inclusive leadership, professional standards and accountability.
  • Providing line management for Senior Sisters / Charge Nurses, Clinical / Advanced Nurse Specialists and Consultant Nurses.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Adult Nurse.
  • Demonstrate evidence of ongoing education.
  • At least 5 years post registration experience.

We estimate that the salary for this position will be around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary, reflective of the high level of expertise and qualifications required for the role.
