Retail Assortment Specialist

Austin Fraser is looking for a talented Product Category Manager to oversee commercial assortment in retail stores, maintain product availability, and provide data-driven insights. This role offers the chance to drive business growth and contribute to a successful team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, numerical, and analytical skills, with strong Excel proficiency. They will also possess effective communication skills, be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment, and have prior experience using Netsuite or other inventory management systems.
Expected Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience)

Job DescriptionA leading apparel business based in South Yorkshire, London, and LA, is seeking a skilled Junior Merchandiser to join their Merchandising team. The company has offices in various locations and is known for its strong growth over the past three years.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial assortment in retail stores to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with the Merchandiser to expedite purchase orders to suppliers within given deadlines.
- Action daily replenishment orders to stores and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Review retail stock levels and develop recommendations to enhance assortment and stock management.
- Assess proposed stock transfers between stores and back to the distribution centre.
- Support Retail stock take processes, ensuring the inventory management system remains accurate and up-to-date.
- Work closely with the Import Merchandiser to update and amend systems as necessary.
- Foster strong working relationships with retail teams and operations functions.
- Identify and introduce best practices across the merchandising team and replenishment processes.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting to support the Merchandiser in decision-making for retail.
- Meticulous organisation, numerical, and analytical skills.
- Strong Excel proficiency.
- Effective communication skills.
- Prior experience using Netsuite or other inventory management systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
