About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Footwear Technologist to join our team at Kurt Geiger. As a key member of our sourcing team, you will be responsible for maintaining data on supplier quality issues and ensuring that records are up-to-date.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Sourcing Team by maintaining data on supplier quality issues
  • Facilitate raw material and sample testing, and communicate results to internal stakeholders
  • Collate data on leather sourcing and volumes for the Leather Working Group
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain necessary documentation
  • Access the internal order tracking system to advise on shipment schedules
  • Follow up with distribution centers to ensure sample issues are addressed
  • Support cost negotiations and work closely with brand partners
  • Work proactively with the UK team and Asia Supply Chain team
  • Send samples for testing and follow up on quality issues
  • Build cross-functional team relationships to communicate supply chain issues

Requirements

  • Carry out regular store visits to report on quality standards
  • Input product data into required systems
  • Complete seasonal product reports for senior leadership meetings
  • Support other departments when needed
  • Liaise with DC QC team to ensure products are inspected appropriately
  • Investigate quality issues, find solutions, and report findings
  • Ensure emerging issues are resolved quickly and effectively
  • Ensure traceability of confirmation samples into the warehouse
  • Ensure all damaged goods, manufacturing faults, and transit damages are processed correctly

About You

  • Technically trained in footwear fitting and grading
  • Previous experience in footwear production or sourcing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in women's premium fashion footwear
  • Project management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good understanding of leather
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
