Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Family Support Specialist to join our team at Midlothian Council. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing holistic support to families in need across Midlothian.

The successful candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in social work and experience working with vulnerable children and families. You will be responsible for supervising and supporting family wellbeing practitioners to provide high-quality systemic support to meet the needs of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support family wellbeing practitioners
  • Provide high-quality systemic support to families
  • Work in partnership with multi-agency colleagues to create bespoke plans

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in social work
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and families

Salary: £43,000 - £48,000 per annum

Benefits:

  • Permanent contract
  • 36 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday working pattern
