About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our talented Kitchen team at the Cultra Inn at the exclusive Culloden Estate and Spa.

Under the inspiring leadership of our Head Chef, Peter Robinson, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the supervision of the kitchen to ensure the Hastings standards of preparation and presentation are maintained.
  • Supervise kitchen employees to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen function.
  • Promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, and daily checking procedures are fully applied.
  • Implement and monitor company policies relating to stock control and stock ordering.
  • Provide training and coaching to junior Kitchen team members to deliver effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards.
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments and suppliers to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain the security of kitchen and storage areas.
  • Maintain the kitchen areas, fixtures and equipment.
  • Maintain a safe environment in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.

About You

We would love you to have similar previous experience gained within a quality catering establishment.

Desired Criteria

  • Educated to GCSE Standard or the equivalent including English and Maths

Required Criteria

  • Right to Work in the United Kingdom
  • Previous experience at a similar level gained within a high quality catering operation
  • NVQ level 2 or the equivalent in Food Preparation and Cooking and hold a recognised current Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A clean and tidy appearance
  • Good communication skills
