SEN Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at Supply Desk. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student, ensuring achievable and measurable goals
• Design and deliver engaging lessons using various instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities within the classroom
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and other professionals to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment
• Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to address individual needs
• Maintain open and transparent communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies for continued support at home
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes understanding, acceptance, and positive social interactions among students with and without special needs
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in special education, attending relevant workshops and conferences to enhance professional knowledge and skills
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and respectful classroom environment, providing support to students with challenging behaviours
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Teaching certification in Special Education
• Proven experience working with students with special educational needs
• Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and developmental disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation Package:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of £29,344 - £44,919 per annum. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
