About the Role

Climax Studios, a renowned game development studio, is seeking an experienced Lead Designer to join their award-winning team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the design of a major AAA console title, working closely with a team of passionate and highly experienced designers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3D Action game design, with experience in leading design teams and driving forward all design aspects. Proficiency in Unreal 5 is a must, and a solid understanding of all disciplines is essential. Excellent communication skills are also required to maintain a strong relationship with clients.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design team, passing on experience and expertise, and lead by example.
  • Estimate tasks and ensure the team delivers high-quality design work to schedule.
  • Create and maintain clear and concise design feature documentation.
  • Perform design reviews with the team to ensure quality.
  • Mentor and conduct regular one-to-ones with project design team members.
  • Work with programmers, artists, and other personnel involved in the development process to create the highest possible quality product.
