Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

At Raytheon Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design of electronic/electrical products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical design meets customer specification requirements, including technical, cost, weight, reliability, environmental, and maintainability criteria.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical design of Motors and electronic/electrical products.
  • Ensure mechanical design meets customer specification requirements.
  • Produce design schemes, including CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
  • Conduct analysis of mechanical design, identify and minimize risk, and specify additional test requirements.
  • Document design, prepare design schemes, and attend or conduct design reviews.
  • Liaise with specialist engineers and interpret analysis/test data to resolve issues.
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure correct interpretation of design intent.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers, project teams, and other functional groups.
  • Operate in accordance with Collins Aerospace procedures and lead design reviews.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience: Track record of technical leadership and experience in design and development of rotating machinery or similar areas.
  • Skills: Good analytical skills, ability to assess and solve complex technical problems, and effective communication skills.
