Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to lead mechanical design on electronic/electrical products at Raytheon Technologies. As a global aerospace company at the forefront of technology development for aircraft electrification and electric propulsion systems, we require a technical leader to drive the design and development of rotating machinery and mechanical packaging of electronic products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical design of Motors and electronic/electrical products, ensuring design meets customer specification requirements.
  • Produce design schemes, including CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings for concept and detail designs.
  • Ensure all appropriate analysis of the mechanical design is carried out, identify and minimize risk, and specify additional test requirements as needed.
  • Document the design, prepare design schemes, and attend or conduct necessary design reviews.
  • Liaise with specialist engineers and interpret analysis/test data to understand and resolve issues.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure correct interpretation of design intent and provide guidance for improving product quality.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers, project teams, and other functional groups in support of new and mature products.
  • Operate in accordance with Collins Aerospace procedures and lead necessary design reviews.

Requirements

  • Education to Degree level in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience in design and development of rotating machinery or similar areas.
  • Good analytical skills to assess and solve complex technical problems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with peer group, team members, suppliers, and customers.
  • Good time management and proactive approach to planning work efficiently to meet agreed milestones.
